Jan van den Herik is a result driven senior advisor and (team)coach. With over 35 years of experience in different advisory and management positions. Trying to be at the forefront of new developments. Always seeking to make a positive impact. His purpose is to inspire and encourage business leaders to make a difference!

By now aware of his own talent, he understands the art of using it successfully. To bring out the best in himself and others. An independent and free spirit. Brings innovation and originality. Always using his ability to listen, the peace within himself and his creativity to provide original solutions. Doesn’t shy away from complex challenges, but doesn’t hesitate to acknowledge his own limitations in a timely manner.

A senior professional that started his career in 1989, that gained throughout his career a wide range of relevant and significant business experiences in different function areas. From Human Resource Management, Business Ethics, Corporate Governance, Corporate Social Responsibility, Strategy & Innovation, Business Development and last but not least Leadership Development.

Worked for more than two decades at KPMG (1996-2019) in different professional services roles. Was as management consultant involved with national and international operating companies in different types of industries. Developed in 2005 the strategy on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for KPMG in the Netherlands and became the first director CSR with KPMG.

Jan was in this period at the same time appointed for four years (2005–2009) as director of the Dutch national CSR business network of multinational companies in the Netherlands (Samenleving & Bedrijf, the national partner organization of CSR Europe). He developed a new strategy and programs focusing on four target groups (Future Leaders, CSR Managers, Direct Reports to the Executive Board and C-level Executives).

From 2017 till 2025 Jan was actively involved as Executive Team Coach and Program Director at the Young Professionals Program (YPP) of UN Global Compact Network Netherlands. An action based advanced leadership program designed around the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) focusing on future leaders in the age between 25 and 35 years.

Jan guided since the start of the YPP (2017–2025) 15 YPP-teams as Executive Team Coach. Under his wings more than 140 participants finished their leadership journey and received an official YPP certificate from UN Global Compact Network Netherlands.

In 2020 Jan successfully completed the Postgraduate Course on Executive Team Coaching, at the School of Business and Economics of the VU (Vrije Universiteit) Amsterdam. Early 2021 Jan initiated his own coaching and management consultancy company called TEAMPACTOR.
